Lacrosse For Dummies
Memorial Day Weekend is the biggest weekend on the lacrosse calendar every year. The NCAA Final Four is set at Gillette Stadium and we have Towson vs Ohio State at 12 on Saturday followed up by Maryland vs Denver. Both games will be on ESPN2 and then we’ll have the National Championship game on Memorial Day at 1. Also on ESPN2.
It’s a huge weekend for people who don’t normally watch lacrosse to accidentally find themselves watching it on ESPN. So for all of you at home who aren’t too familiar with the game, here’s a quick crash course on Lacrosse 101.
And if the video seems like it’s missing a few major details about the actual rules of the game and shit like that, well that’s because it turns out that filming a video with a GoPro in the pouring rain isn’t the greatest idea in terms of production value. I’m not an excuse guy but about half the footage was completely un-usable because of giant ass raindrops on the GoPro lens. Still powered through the storm, though. That’s just how us lax guys do it.
P.S. – Final Four preview blog will be out tomorrow with picks. Also feel free to follow along on Twitter all weekend for highlights and updates and other debauchery.
