Frank Walks Episode 30: Greg Oden Presented by BODYARMOR
Frank Walks episode 30 features Greg Oden. The top pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, Oden was the last traditional big man to be selected number one. A star at Ohio State, Greg Oden led the Buckeyes to the NCAA Championship Game in his only season in Columbus. A star out of Indiana, he was named Mr. Indiana in 2006 and made McDonald's All-American Team. He also was a two-time National High School Player of the Year.
After being picked by the Portland Trailblazers, Greg Oden was forced to miss his entire first season in the NBA after undergoing knee surgery. Finally making his debut a year late, Oden suffered a foot injury and was on the shelf again. When his career ended, Greg Oden was one of the biggest what-ifs in NBA history, playing 82 games over his first two years before being shut down again.
