Frank Walks Season 2 Premier with Marcus Freeman Presented by BodyArmor
It is a new era in College Football, as the 2024 season brings forth a new 12-team playoff format. Notre Dame is expected to be a big part of the playoff chase. Kicking off season two of Frank Walks, I had a chance to stroll around the New York Seaport district with Irish Coach Marcus Freeman. Freeman enters his third season as the head coach of the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame has won bowl games in his first two seasons, finishing 10-3 after going 9-4 in 2022. The Irish have a formidable opponent in Week 1, facing Texas A&M on the road, but have a favorable schedule that could have them hosting a potential postseason game in South Bend in December. Freeman was in New York to promote Notre Dame's upcoming season, including two games in the Metropolitan area, as they face Navy at Met Life Stadium on October 26th and Army at Yankee Stadium on November 23rd. The game against Army is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Fourhorseman Game.
I was also joined by a pair of Notre Dame's standout defenders: tackle Rylie Mills and linebacker Jack Kiser. Mills, a fifth-year senior, is in his third season as a starter for the Irish, while Kiser has been a consistent force for the past three seasons. In addition to being a top middle linebacker, Kiser was Notre Dame's special teams player of the year in 2023.
