It's Oscar Season
As football winds down, I want to get excited about boxing in 2023, so I invited Oscar De La Hoya to sit down and talk fights.
Two of Oscar’s fighters are co-headlining a card this Saturday… Alexis Rocha (21-1) and Floyd Schofield (12-0). The event in being held at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California and being broadcast on DAZN.
On top of talking up that card, Oscar touches on how we are a cunt-hair away from Ryan Garcia vs Tank Davis in April, Jamie Mungia’s next opponent, where Zurdo goes after the Bivol loss, and boxing’s next superstar- Vergil Ortiz Jr. (19-0, 19 KOs)

I was going to ask Oscar how Holly Sonders was doing, but I already knew the answer after last year's Christmas Card…
I am going to do the same with Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn next week, and then see if I can close up all this promoter talk after someone wakes up Top Rank's Bob Arum long enough to drop some knowledge on me (I'm kidding… Love Bob)… Arum has a great fight also airing on Saturday as Artur Beterbiev defends his WBC/IBF/WBO light heavyweight titles versus Anthony Yarde on ESPN+… Collectively, those two fighters have had 43 professional bouts and 40 ended by knockout. So both cards on Saturday might be a needed distraction before the conference championship games kick off on Sunday.
Here's another Holly Sonders distraction, for the helluvit…
Enjoy the fights and take a report.
