The Goddamn Jets, Season 3 Episode 14 - The Jamal Adams Trade Debacle
Fresh off the Kelechi Osemele injury debacle, we got ourselves a trade debacle. It never stops with this goddamn team. This video series is the most consistent fucking thing in my life. So heres the deal with Jamal Adams and the trade disaster - everyone is wrong. Mostly Jamal Adams, a little bit Joe Douglas, and I know that somehow, someway, even though hes skating by on this one, that WEASEL Adam Gase is at the heart of this. This is the first time we've really heard Joe Douglas' name in the mix, the first (and unfortunately probably not the last) time we've seen him in the mud. So, I dont know what to make of him yet. For like a year straight everything we heard was that Adam Gase is basically running the show. Now its GM Joe Douglas in the fight. Which, I'm happy about. Thats the guy who should be making decisions and Adam Gase should just get the fuck off this team.
But, that being said, he has to share in the blame here. Jamal Adams is being a dramatic asshole who tweets too much (pot, meet kettle, Kevin!), and comparing yourself to Tom Brady and Aaron Donald is so preposterous. Its ambitious and I like the confidence, but boy do you sound silly. But I understand his point here when the GM and coach are both playing a game of semantics. I know theres a difference in shopping and listening, but bottom line is the Cowboys are the one team Jamal was cool with going to, and the Jets ended up in a trade negotiation with Dallas. So, thats trying to trade someone. You're splitting hairs and playing dumb with this whole "They called us first!" excuse. Man up, be up front, say that EVERYONE is on the block because this team SUCKS, and keep it real. Everyone needs to clean it up.
