God these videos make me so happy. Nothing brings me joy quite like seeing two people almost beat the shit out of each other over a situation that could’ve been diffused with a simple “excuse me.” Especially in New York City. It’s the perfect example of what it means to live here. This place turns everyone in an irritable, hyper aggressive, psychopath. That guy’s probably never been in a fight in his life and he flew off the handle like a cracked out tweaker. Not something you’d expect from a man on a folding bike. What’s even more surprising is the guy who cut him off wasn’t even rattled. He just held onto his coffee, grabbed onto his straps and weathered the storm.
Sometimes that’s all it takes to put someone in their place- a non-reaction. It’s like when a parent lets their toddler throw a fit to get it out of their system then asks, “are you done?” Only this time the toddler was a forty-five-year-old accountant with high T named Barry. You could tell he knew he was beat the second the guy walked away too. He didn’t even get off his bike, he just crab-walked behind him to maintain his pride.
What a buffoon. The only thing that would’ve made this video better is if they actually fought. All this did was build the rage within them. Poor guy needs a release otherwise this is going to happen again on the way home.
