Real Madrid Show Yet Again Why They're The Best Team In Professional Sports History And Win Their Record 15th Champions League Title

I know many people on this blog don't care about soccer, but it's easy to pretend it's not the biggest sport in the world except during two tournaments: the Champions League final and the entirety of the World Cup. They're the two biggest events on the planet everytime they happen with legitimately hundreds of millions of people tuning in. Today happens to be one of those days. I've been fortunate enough to be born into Real Madrid fanhood by way of Spanish citizenship and birth in the city. Anytime I get upset about the Lakers ruining my life every time they cause me pain, I sit back and think about how many titles Real Madrid has brought me in my near thirty years of life.

But I'm not going to sit here and break down the X's and O's of the game because that feels like something better suited for a Reags blog, but spoiler alert: the best team in professional sports history played a relatively shitty game and still won 2-0 to reclaim Europe. Unfortunately for Dortmund fans and anyone who is tired of seeing Real Madrid at the pinnacle of the sport for what feels like an eternity, they never really had a chance:

If you want an NBA comparison, think the 90's Bulls except they're adding prime LeBron to their roster next season in Kylian Mbappe. If you want the NFL, think the 85 Bears or 72 Dolphins, except they're getting exponentially better next season too. That's just what Real Madrid does. They keep talent around for years, then all the greatest players on Earth all want their chance to be apart of it too.

Let me save you the Google translation and tell you that three of the biggest clubs on the entire planet (Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Barcelona) have as many European trophies in their 120+ year history as Madrid does in the last 10 years. And if this doesn't give you chills, then nothing will:

Hala Madrid y nada mas.
