In The Ohio State vs. Michigan Game This Year, Michael Hall Jr Accidentally Ended Zak Zinter's Season.....And The Browns Just Drafted Them Both
Now THAT'S a pick I can get behind. From northeast Ohio....stayed home and chose THE Ohio State University....and now is coming back home to Cleveland as the Browns first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. It's about damn time the Browns started taking more of an advantage of the elite college football program in their own backyard. Denzel Ward said it this week: Andrew Berry....draft more Buckeyes. And that's exactly what AB did. Except he didn't just get a Buckeye, he got a fucking monster. 2nd highest pass-rush win rate of all DTs in college football last year. Fast as fuck for his size. Explosive. I love everything about this pick.
.....and then with our 3rd round pick, we went the exact opposite route of bringing the hometown favorite back to town.
Gut reaction: hate it. You'll be shocked to hear that I'm so sour on Michigan and how the last three years have went that I don't care if we could get JJ, Corum, Wilson, Aiden, and this guy free of charge.....I'd pass. Can't trust em. But the Browns felt otherwise and now I will fully support, ew, Zak Zinter.
I will give him this: I saw with my own two eyes not only him bully my Buckeyes, but also the reaction of his team and fans when he went down this November.
Next play: Blake Corum touchdown as he flashed the 6-5 to the crowd. It was disgusting at the time. And now that he's a Brown, I'll admit that it was actually very cool. And I'll admit that this is a bad dude and he'll fit right in on our O-Line. Might even toughen them up a little bit more.
But you know what's crazy? The freak accident that ended Zinter's season came because……Michael Hall Jr…..fell on him.
That's crazy. Hall accidentally ends Zinter's national championship* season, and next thing you know they're teammates. Can't wait til the next part of this storybook is how they're both anchoring the lines of a Super Bowl winning Browns team.
Overall Draft Grade thus far: A+
1st - Deshaun Watson (just like how we spent our 1st rounders the last two years, too)
2nd - Michael Hall Jr - dog
3rd - Zak Zinter - absolute dog (let's just make him take a long shower and wash off that Michigan stink before he gets to Ohio)
