Fordham AD Eddie Kull Is Going Into His Own Pocket To Assure Fordham Is Packing Out The Barclays Center Tonight

Absolutely love this. Fordham has been good for the first time in literally forever, and there's a real buzz that the Rams could be dancing for the first time since 1992. Head Coach Keith Urgo was named A-10 Coach of the Year, and everyone is talking about how the program finally has something going.

Kull knows what he is doing here rallying the students to the biggest game in years tonight , and it's such a great move. Easy train ride, or bus ride down to Brooklyn. The kids over 21 (or maybe under 21) can hit the bars, have a great Thursday night at the Barclays, and be rowdy rooting on the Rams. You need that in a conference tournament . The A-10 doesn't have a team like this who's basically playing the tournament in their backyard, so if you can pounce on the opportunity, you better take it.

The underrated funny story / inside Barstool story here is how Spider ties into this whole thing. It's one of my favorite sagas. Spider started as a St.Bonaventure student before transferring to Fordham where he would graduate. He was a super passionate Rams fan, and very appreciative to this time there.

but along the way he got tired of the Program losing year after year, and Spider turned that love to hate , particularly to Head Coach Jeff Neubauer.

He even went as far as trying to influence Fordham recruits to change their commitment. He was a man on a mission. Then Neubauer was out, Kyle Neptune was in, and Spider was back home rooting for his Rams. Neptune moved on, but Spider is all in on Urgo, all in on Eddie Kull , and was back in attendance in the famous Rose Hill gym just a few weeks ago.

He will also be in attendance tonight , so I knew I needed a quote on his thoughts of Kull's move of buying the tickets. Spider said :

"Eddie Kull is a class act. In his brief time as AD the men’s basketball program has grown exponentially. It’s obvious he cares about the success of the athletic program, specifically basketball. Something that cannot be said about the former AD and administration. It’s a great time to be a Ram and we’re lucky to have Ed Kull and Keith Urgo at the wheel."

Love the move by Kull, love that Spider will be in the building, love the story for Fordham. Let's go Rams.
