Stop Ruining Classics: The First Trailer For The 'White Men Can't Jump' Reboot Was Released And It's Flat Out Awful

I still can't believe this is a thing. I know I'm not a 'movie guy.' In fact the last move I've seen in theaters is The Night Before with Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. But this? White Men Can't Jump is easily in my top-5 favorite movies. It's easily one of 2 top basketball movies for me along with Blue Chips. So when I remembered this movie was coming out I was furious. Then I saw the trailer.

I'm not even mad anymore, I'm just disappointed. I'm speaking like a true middle-aged dad here.

The fuck we doing? Stop ruining classics. How do you reboot White Men Can't Jump? There's no cliffhanger. There's no other story to tell. I don't need to see Jack Harlow attempt to play basketball. The original was perfect. I don't care if Brandon Walker said it could have been better. It was perfect.

The only thing this reboot needs is to have modern day Marques Johnson. In fact the reboot should just be following around Raymond.

Again, the original is just fine the way it was. The insults. The Jeopardy. The weird things like Foods that start with the letter Q. That's why we don't need a remake. If they even attempt to do the whole 'you can't hear Jimi' debate I'm going to lose it.

Still love the 2v2 tournament scene. Billy Hoyle, elite shit talker, better dresser.

That legit might be one of my favorite scenes in movie history. Again, big time movie expert here. I like what I like. Long story short. Stop fucking ruining classics.
