Girls High School Basketball Team Gets Three Shots In A Row Stuck In The Rim

Three times. Three different players. Three different shots….

They’re either playing with the stickiest ball of all time or the whole thing is a very strange coincidence. Regardless, if I’m the coach I’m ending the season. Nothing in basketball, other than getting posterized, that are more embarrassing than getting the ball stuck in the rim. It happened to me in my eighth grade CYO game (wasn’t good enough for Metro West) and it still affects me to this day. The only difference is now I can jump up and get the ball, back then I had to let it linger until someone could knock it out with another ball. Which usually took a good thirty seconds depending on how far away the spare was. So you’d end up standing there like an idiot while everyone laughed at your mistake. These poor girls had to go through that three times.

If the coach doesn’t pull the plug on the team the AD should step in and do it himself. At the very least the players should be temporarily benched and/or permanently kicked off the team and barred from participating in future athletic events. The good news is there’s plenty of room for improvement.
