No One Has Had A Worse Time On The Dozen Than PFT The Other Night
First and foremost, FUCK The Experts. There isn't a trivia team I hate going up against more than these rat bastards. I love them all separately, but together, they are the New England Patriots (the TB12 version) of The Dozen. You have to play a perfect match, and if you make a mistake, they are absolutely going to bash in your smooth inferior brains. Fran is unbeatable with celebrity mash-up, and Brandon Walker / PFT dominate NFL / College Football. Team Gen XYZ put up an admirable showing, but in the end The Experts were too much. Even though they came away with the win, PFT was talking L's left and right.
After an all-time performance on College GameDay at his alma matter, instead of being recognized as a co-host for the #1 sports podcast on the planet, he was recognized as Fran's trivia teammate. Better than going to events and people thinking you're Large's son? At least we are all out here getting recognition? This is Fran's league, forget Brandon Walker.
In the bonus round, PFT went up against the buzzsaw that is Michael "Large" McCarthy. Large is Gen XYZ's Lebron James, carrying the team to victory on his back. Meanwhile Jake and I put up some points here and there like Anderson Varejão and Delante West, respectfully. This comparison works because I also am attempting to have sex with Large's Mom, respectfully. The bad thing about using this comparison is that this version of the Cavs never wins a championship together, and I see this team one day lifting the Jeff D. Lowe commissioner's trophy over our heads at the championship live show.
I missed my unmissable John Mayer niche for the first time in 4 seasons. Letting my team down was devastating, especially on a question where if wouldn't have rushed to a conclusion I could have gotten the question right. But as we saw in the 1 v 1 trivia with me vs Cheah, I rush sometimes. Been doing it on tests since 2nd grade. I'll never learn. The only good part about choking with the pressure on was I got to fire off a good ricochet shot at PFT, who was fresh off his GameDay miss. I'm not sure if moral victories in trivia are a thing, but this was a fun match that got the fellas on XYZ going.
