I Do Not Love Dave Portnoy's Team In The Mike Trout Fantasy Football League
Dave Portnoy great at a lot of things in life but he did not ace the MLB Fantasy Draft.
While I like the Stefon Diggs and Ceedee Lamb WR combo in first 2 rounds, the draft went down hill some after. Jaylen Waddle should be good but seems unnecessary in 3rd round after drafting two WRs with first two picks.
I am not a fan of the starting RB combo of Breece Hall and JK Dobbins at all ESP in PPR Leagues. Hall is super hyped up but Michael Carter will split time with him and be featured in the passing game. JK Dobbins is coming off a torn ACL and will be splitting time in Baltimore. There are questions if he's 100% healthy and he also will not be used much in the passing game.
Dalton Schultz should be a very solid TE especially with Dallas WR corps being a mess behind CeeDee Lamb. And there's damn sure nothing wrong with drafting Tom Brady in the 8th round as starting QB.
Of his late round picks, I do like James Cook and JD McKisssic. Cook's role will grow all season in Buffalo as Devin Singletary is just a guy. McKissic is underrated in PPR leagues and will catch some balls.
The rest of the late round picks are whatever to me.
This is certainly not a bad team but Dave better get A LOT out of Breece Hall and JK Dobbins if he wants to make the playoffs. At least we all will be entertained by his interactions with esteemed league Commisioner Steven Cheah!
