Nobody Saw It Coming, But Jerry Reinsdorf Has Officially Taken Over As The #1 Owner In Chicago
Another Tuesday and another episode of Red Line Radio to bridge the gap on Chicago sports from the weekend. Needless to say it’s been an ugly couple weeks but all the more reason for a therapeutic conversation. That’s where our focus is coming out yet another awful Bears weekend on the heels of another national spot next Monday. We wish things were different but they’re not. The bright side is we’re in this together.
On that note, let me shoutout Jerry Reinsdorf real quick. We've spent the bulk of our history with Barstool Chicago calling him the worst owner in town. The loyalty with the Bulls and Kenny Williams. The buried quotes about striving for second place. The better part of a decade without a hard free agent splash and then mixed with the Cubs' championship run. Everybody including us had hard words for Jerry and now here we are in a complete 180. Maybe not every single one of you, but point remains this is uncharted territory for a lot of yous guys.
That’s why you can count on us at Barstool Chicago. Everyone else can be inconsistent but we’re still showing up with scorching hot sports takes every week. Matt Nagy be damned, we’re not going anywhere. Neither is the Bulls coverage now that we have something worth talking about. Definitely not what we sold you guys when this started and I know not everyone signed up for it, but that’s the direction life is taking us. I know too well to resist these divine prompts.
You should know better too. Stop wasting an opportunity to add Red Line Radio to your rotation. Stop being out of the loop. Stop missing out on us.
