Half of the Sweet 16 is complete! And the right side of the bracket has turned into total chaos. That was the biggest takeaway from Day 3 of the 2021 NCAA Tournament, and we are here to break it down for you on our Beating The Buzzer Recap presented by High Noon Hard Seltzer. Here are the storylines from the first half of the second round:

- (3) Arkansas and the Muss Buss escape (6) Texas Tech, and Marty now has to pass a math test
- (15) Oral. Freaking. Roberts. The Cinderella is not done yet, as the Golden Eagles upset (7) Florida
- (8) Loyola Chicago upsets (1) Illinois. Sister Jean Magic returns!
- (12) Oregon State is the hottest team in the tournament outside of Gonzaga
- (11) Syracuse in March! Buddy Boeheim leads the way to take the Orange back to the Sweet 16.
- (2) Houston makes a huge comeback against (10) Rutgers
