'Let's Take Our Helmets Off': Chris Long Details What It Was Like on the Patriots' Sideline in Overtime of Super Bowl LI
Get a load of this guy.
On this week's Macrodosing, we had two-time Super Bowl champion and former Pardon My Take Lib of the Year winner Chris Long join the show to discuss various phobias and cool ways to die. Inevitably, however, the conversation eventually led us to Chris's experience on the Patriots' sideline during one of the worst days of my life and I got to hear how fun it was for him.
I'm glad that what was a day which will haunt me forever was such a cool time for others. I hope Chris had a grand old time yucking it up with the fellas on the sideline as they all took their helmets off and watched Tom Brady march down the field to ruin my life for a period of time.
And just for that extra little kick to the dick this week, the overtime rule was changed for the playoffs the day after we recorded that interview. Fun times. Anyway, I'm glad Chris got to achieve a lifelong dream of winning a Super Bowl and I just hope he can live with himself knowing that it came at the expense of lifelong torment for an innumerable number of children who will now assuredly never see their favorite team win one.
It does seem like the Lib of the Year winner at least has a bit of empathy, I suppose.
