Auburn Head Coach Bruce Pearl Says Former Bachelor Pilot Pete is "Terrible" At Basketball

On today's episode of the Barstool Bench Mob... BRUCE PEARL! The Head Coach of the No. 4 Auburn Tigers joined us on today's show to discuss this week's humongous rivalry win over Alabama, the uniqueness of Jabari Smith, being Jewish, and much more. We also got into it regarding Coach Pearl's cameo on The Bachelor a few years ago. During the hometown visits episode of "Pilot" Peter Weber's season, he and finalist Madison Prewett went to Auburn Arena to shoot some hoops. Coach Pearl put the couple through some drills, and we asked him about that on today's show. Take a look:

Marty Mush: I see you with Cam Newton, you're on The Bachelor, you're all over the place now. How was The Bachelor?

Bruce Pearl: So, The Bachelor's coming to town, and Steven [his son] knows me, I got the same pair of sneakers on, still call them sneakers, maybe last year. They're dirty, they're whatever. And he knew I wouldn't get a haircut, I wouldn't wear my best sweatsuit. He's like, "DAD!" Because I don't know The Bachelor from The Bachelorette, I don't... "This is the biggest thing you'll do all year long, dad. More people will see you on The Bachelor than they saw you in the Final Four," So he kind of made me clean up. That's what I remember about it.

Jake Marsh: Is Pilot Pete kind of a baller?

Bruce Pearl: No, no, he was terrible. I mean, he was awful. But Madi, Madi has worked my basketball camp for years. You know, her dad, Chad Prewett is my assistant here. I mean, this kid [Pete], he couldn't dribble with one hand, Madi was doing stuff with the balls with two, she's way out of his league.

DAMN! Pilot Pete got roasted here. I absolutely love the authenticity that Coach Bruce Pearl brought during this interview. A great coach and an awesome personality.
