We had ourselves a special Podfathers field trip this weekend with myself, Large, that motherfucker Joey Langone, and Uncle Robbie Fox heading over to Medieval Times in beautiful Lyndhurt, NJ for a night of entertainment, responsible drinking, and irresponsible eating with our loved ones. Safe to say, it was a MASSIVE hit for all involved.
Yeah, we had some motherfucking falconry taking place in a castle directly off of Route 17 in New Jersey, which was heaven for a bird guy like me
Seriously, it was so awesome not only eating tomato bisque, garlic bread, and chicken that tasted like the Old Gods and The New cooked it themselves with my bare hands but also being fine with my kids doing the same since they always eat like savages. And drinking mead out of a horn had me feeling like Big Bobby Baratheon after he put his battle axe through Rhaegar's chest on The Trident.
In addition to the top notch food and drink, we had the newest member of the Feitelverse not only fighting for us.
But winning the whole damn thing for us.
Obviously this was at least a 4/5 Balls experience that was a hit for the parents, the young kids, the teenagers, and the 20-somethings in the group. Apparently after the 7:30 show, the inside of the castle converts to a club complete with a DJ and strobe lights that results in people getting after it and drinking with the fine people who just performed so gallantly for you. Safe to say our next trip to the realm will be during that time slot while the kids stay at home with babysitters.
