Get To Know Jim Florentine, Barstool Sports' Newest Hire

Stoolies –  I'm producer John Kelly and I'll be handling Jim's podcast now that he has joined Barstool Sports. Send any suggestions for topics Jim can talk about on the show to @EverybodyAwful on Twitter and @everybodyisawful on insta.

Jim Florentine is Barstool's newest hire, catch his podcast Everybody Is Awful every Monday and Thursday.

Some know him best as "Special Ed" from the Comedy Central show Crank Yankers, which originally aired from 2002-2005. And is now BACK after 12 years off the air.

(If you haven't seen Crank Yankers, it's a prank call show with puppets, and a legendary original cast: featuring Adam Carolla,
Jimmy Kimmel, Tracy Morgan, Sarah Silverman, and Wanda Sykes.)

Some may remember Eminem beating the shit out of Special Ed LIVE on MTV during the 2004 VMA's:

Some know him best for Terrorizing Telemarketers, vol. 1 which EXPLODED shortly after its' release in July, 2001 - and it's absolutely hilarious. If you haven't listened to these on YouTube yet, do yourself a favor and check out "Pizza Pie," "Road Rage," and "No Walls." There's a billion more you binge.

Most know him as the host of That Metal Show on VH1 Classic, which ran for an amazing fourteen seasons. According to Dave Portnoy, this show was one of the best of all time. "I wish I could bring it back." - Dave Portnoy

People forget, Jim was a guest on Louie C.K.'s hit show Louie, and was submitted for an Emmy nomination for "Best Guest Star." His character Kenny dies trying to take an "upper-decker'' - in one of the bests cinema/tv deaths of all time.

A few hardcore fans will know Jim from Meet The Kreeps, a hidden-camera prank show Florentine released with his friend Don Jamieson. I haven't watched a lot of these yet, but the first one I watched Jim asks a waiter to crack fresh pepper over his pasta for 45 straight minutes. Just an obscene amount of pepper:

You may have seem him touring countless comedy clubs across the country, with his friends Robert Kelly, Rich Vos, and Ron Bennington. The foursome are currently touring as Kreeps With Kids, with multiple dates schedule across the country in 2020.

Any huge fans of the pod should listen to Marc Maron's interview with Jim from April 17, 2013. They talk extensively about Jim's childhood in a catholic family and how it affected his life. Very funny stories, including one about his father and how he moved the entire family to Florida to pursue a hot dog truck business. It failed miserably; oh and Jim tried to use plastic wrap as a condom one time. It didn't go well.

... Part II this Thursday, along with the full episode of Jim tearing into yelp reviews.
