Dave Grohl Performs Adele's "When We Were Young" With His 12 Year Old Daughter And To Nobody's Surprise, She's An Amazing Singer
Yep. That’s pretty much what I figured Dave Grohl’s 12 year old daughter would sound like. I’m sure his other two daughters carry the voices of Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston, respectively.
There’s no doubt in my mind that the crowd was kinda dreading this performance deep-down before it started. You go to a benefit to see Dave Grohl perform an extremely-rare acoustic set, he’s only gonna play a handful of tracks, and now one of them is an Adele song sang by a 12 year old? C’mon man, do Big Me!
ANNNNND THEN, Violet opened her mouth and let out a voice Adele would ENVY, leading to multiple roars from the crowd in the midst of high notes and a standing ovation when they were all done. Unbelievable. If this were America’s Got Talent, they’re hitting the Golden Buzzer on these two in an instant with how the crowd was won over. The continuous smiling/nodding stare from Dave throughout the entirety of the performance was also just the most perfect dad thing I could ever imagine, as well. It’s the face parents make when they see their kids riding a bike down the block for the first time, or when they’re at their first recital, or something like that. Adorable.
Keep being the coolest rockstar on the planet, Dave. We all appreciate ya.
