ST. PETERSBURG — A St. Petersburg woman called 911 twice within a nearly four-hour span on Friday, claiming she had a medical emergency, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Turns out the emergency was that she needed beer. And it’s not the first time she has used the 911 system for non-emergencies. According to an arrest report, Jennifer Sue Sunday, 54, placed two 911 calls from her home — at 12:06 p.m. and 3:41 p.m. — saying she had a medical emergency. When paramedics arrived, she told them that she needed beer. She appeared under the influence of alcohol when she was arrested at her home following the second call, according to the arrest report. Sunday, 54 — who, according to jail records also has several Pinellas County arrests under the name Jennifer Sue Roberts — was arrested on Friday and released on her own recognizance.

Hard to disagree with this lady. The word “emergency” is subjective. Every person is going through their own life. We all look at things differently. We all have a different scale when it comes to what is an emergency and what isn’t. An emergency can range anywhere from, “Oh my god I just got shot and am bleeding out in the street” to “I need another 12-pack if we’re gonna keep this day rolling.” Who’s to say which emergency is more or less urgent than the other?

Well it turns out it’s the Pinellas Country Sheriff’s Office who says and they say that calling 911 for beer isn’t an emergency. Oh really, Pinella Country Sheriff’s Office? Well lemme ask you as question. Have you ever been day drinking and run outta beer? Cause that’s a fucking emergency. The success or failure of day drinking heavily depends on having alcohol. Seems obvious but it’s the most true thing. When a day drinking session runs outta booze, you and your friends have approximately 40 minutes to get more alcohol or it’s over. It quickly takes a turn. People start getting angry. People start falling asleep. OR even worse, people start realizing they shouldn’t be drinking in the middle of the day. It’s not good. So yeah, I’d saying running out of beer is a fucking emergency.
