A College President Is Accused Of Covering For His Son After He Gave A Coworker "The Slut Test"
ISLAND PACKET – Columbia International University President Mark Smith is being accused of retaliating against an attorney who investigated allegations that Smith’s son sexually harassed women and made racial comments when the father and son worked together at an Ohio college, according to federal court documents.
Smith and his son, Doug Smith, worked at Ohio Christian University when the alleged harassment occurred. Mark Smith was the college’s president. They now both work at Columbia International, a Christian university in north Columbia, a spokesman confirmed Tuesday.
This kind of reminds me of the Lebron argument back in the day – and I guess still now, actually. How all the non-Lebron haters at Barstool (i.e. anyone besides Dave) would implore Lebron to just stop going back and forth and fully embrace being the villain. How he would be so much more likable and more respected off the court if he stood by all the dick things he said and did. That’s really all you can ask of anyone who plays the heel – don’t just do it sometimes, make it a lifestyle.
Honestly that plays a lot better in sports. Because when you transpose that argument into the real world, you would kind of have to tip your cap to President Mark Smith’s son Doug for his work at Ohio Christian University, where, in his job fully gained through pure nepotism, he was able to check every single box of being horribly offensive.
In the lawsuit, Davitz accused Doug Smith of “rampant sexual harassment.” Smith allegedly tried to put his finger in the mouth of a university student and employee — Cynthia Dove — while the two worked together at the college’s information technology desk.
“That was a slut test. If they close their mouth, they’re a slut,” Doug Smith allegedly said, according to Davitz’ lawsuit and a separate one Dove filed.
Davitz also accused Doug Smith of covertly taking a picture of a coworker’s buttocks and posting the picture on social media with the caption, “this is why we hire women.” He allegedly told a co-worker she had “hair long enough to pull on,” and that her jeans were so tight “they looked painted on.”
According to the lawsuits, Doug Smith also made several racial comments. When a co-worker dropped a ladder, he yelled “stop being such a Jew” and ignored Dove when she told him she was Jewish and that his comment offended her.
He also is accused of saying he “hates” African-Americans and Mexicans, allegedly calling the former “entitled” and the latter “dirty freeloaders.” He told a co-worker that he was “dead serious” about his views of both groups, according to the lawsuits.
He also is accused of saying he hated “gay people.”
Who’d he leave off? Asians? Asians are always getting a free pass with these racists. The Jews though, man, we’re always the first.
But back to the initial comment – here we have a kid who had no qualm whatsoever about fully morphing into the person he wanted to be: a racist, sexist bigot who openly harassed women and disparaged minorities. And all under the shield of his daddy, who reportedly blew up at anyone who brought the behavior to his attention, this brought him with him when he was moved to Columbia International.
That’s right folks, the kid who dished out “the slut test” while ranting about dirty freeloading Mexicans was granted some more gainful employment at a different school under his pops.
