Ron Howard Narrated An Arrested Development-Style Recap For Star Wars: A New Hope And It Is Incredible

Well that was an absolute DELIGHT. I didn’t think you could fit a gaggle of Arrested Development references while also telling the tale of New Hope, but seeing Pete Rose to imply Luke and Leia getting on that incest train, Boba Fett being Mr. F, and Luke becoming J. Walter Weatherman was as good as it gets. I can probably watch this video 10 more times and find another 2-3 jokes every time. And if they actually made one of these for The Last Jedi, it could actually be a decent movie. You could just replace every Rose scene with an Ann Veal scene and everything would be seamless.

As weird as it seems, this actually makes me a little more hopeful that Solo will be good. I know Ron Howard being a part of a good TV show doesn’t mean he can rescue a movie that fired its directors at the end of shooting. But talent is talent. Right? Sorry, I’m just trying to talk myself into Solo being good. I feel like its going to be a B+ or a D-. No in between.
