A Homeless Guy In American Flag Shorts Stole A Beer Truck And Led Police On A Wild Goose Chase

Fox News- A homeless man dressed only in American flag shorts was arrested Thursday after allegedly stealing a truck full of beer and leading police on a highway chase, authorities in Northern California say. Police later identified the suspect as Matt Hermsmeyer, 46. He was charged with suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, priors for auto theft, resisting arrest and violation of his probation. A Coors truck driver was making a delivery at a Santa Rosa liquor store when a customer entered the store and told the driver that a man had climbed into his parked truck and driven away, a police report said. The customer described the suspect as an apparent homeless man dressed only in red, white and blue shorts.

THAT’S the American Dream right there. Everyone has their own interpretation of the American Dream but this is my favorite. Homeless, shirtless, wearing American flag shorts and trying to steal an entire truck of Coors. Big time balls on that homeless guy by the way. I don’t wanna go as far as to call a homeless person ambitious but that homeless guy is ambitious.

Not to mention he’s stunting all over other homeless people. How dumb do they feel right now? His peers are out on the streets begging for nickels and dimes hoping they can save up enough money to buy a 40. They’re scratching and clawing in hopes of getting the sweet sweet nectar that is beer. They go on the subway and beg for change while everyone cranks up their music and avoids eye contact. It’s a daily grind for homeless people. Well Matt Hermsmeyer was FED UP with that foolishness. He had much bigger dreams than saving up for a measly 12-pack. He went ahead and stole an entire damn beer truck. It didn’t end up working out but who cares? He’s forever a legend in the homeless community. A hero. A titan. An icon.
