Shout Out To This Dad Who Took A Selfie With Cardi B Despite Not Knowing Who Cardi B Is

Such a dad move. SUCH a dad move. I can just picture this dad walking to work, seeing a bunch of people going crazy around Cardi B and him getting a selfie with her just so he can send it to his kids. If that’s not something your dad would do, you don’t have a normal dad. Your dad stinks (sorry). Phil Dunphy would for sure stop Cardi B on the street while having no idea who Cardi B is. I sneaky think dads like falling out of touch with pop culture. It’s the most dad thing they can do. I’m looking forward to it to be honest. Being plugged into pop culture is EXHAUSTING. There’s so much time and work that goes into it. And you have to do it otherwise you can’t have conversations with your friends and coworkers. Like imagine if you didn’t see Black Panther. You’d have to just sit there at the bar like an asshole who has nothing to say. Dads aren’t expected to have something to say about Black Panther. They’re too busy buying pants or whatever dads do.

Losing touch with things that are currently happening is part of being a dad. You become a dad so you don’t have to pay attention to that stuff. Let your kids do that. Dads then get to say stuff like hip hoppers and “whose is Cardi b” and it’s okay. It seems like an awesome life. I’m not saying it’s reason enough to have a kid but it might be.
