Packers WR Trevor Davis Arrested at LAX This Morning After Joking He Was Going To Smuggle a Bomb On Board The Plane, Classic Joke
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis was arrested at LAX on Sunday morning after cops say he joked about smuggling a bomb into the airport … TMZ Sports has learned. Yeah, they DON’T PLAY about that at LAX!!!
Law enforcement sources tell us the 24-year-old — a 5th round draft pick out of Cal in 2016 — was at the Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter with a female companion to check into a flight when the attendant asked the usual security questions about their luggage.
Instead of playing it straight — we’re told Davis turned to the other woman and said, “Did you remember to pack the explosives?”
She apparently said, “No” and tried to get him to stop. He then said, “Just kidding” — but it was too late.
We’re told cops were called and Davis was immediately taken into custody for misdemeanor criminal threats. He was booked — mug shot and all — and then released.
If we could go to a drawing board and brain storm a listen of places to make a bomb joke I think a giant airport would shoot right to the top of the list as being the WORST PLACE POSSIBLE to try your hand in bomb comedy. What did he expect the security people to do? Laugh along with him that you’re joking about blowing up an airplane, especially in the day and age we’re in? When I got that notification on my phone this morning I was stunned. You have to be the dumbest person ever to say this and think it’d work with zero consequence. Davis was a 5th round pick out of Cal (Goff’s number one receiver) two years ago and has struggled to do anything noteworthy on the field as all he has is speed to this game. I wonder if they just outright cut him after this since he’s irrelevant to the team.
Also, this Ha Ha Clinton-Dix tweet is either the biggest coincidence in the world or he’s having a blast that Trevor got arrested at LAX for making a bomb joke.
