Kyrie's Surgery Went Well And The Team Expects Him To Be Ready By Camp

On one hand, phew. We can all exhale a little bit. On the other hand, where have we heard this before? Oh a surgery went well and everything is gucci? Pretty sure that’s exactly what was said after his first procedure and while I can’t blame them for saying it I also feel like they knew about the infection way before the general public did. Sadly, there will always be a certain percentage of doubt whenever I hear the Celtics talk about injuries and recovery timelines. Granted October is a long ways away so theoretically this should be nothing to worry about.

My question is what does this mean for the future. Is this the last of the screws that will have to come out? If everything is structurally sound, does this mean it’ll be the end of him going under the knife unless he tears something? How does this impact the tendinitis? I could Google all this stuff myself but then I’ll just end up on WebMD convinced that Kyrie is going to have to amputate the next time there’s “soreness”.

So, in the meantime, we’re left to do nothing but grab a couple tissues, pour some out for our fallen point guard, and just spend hours watching YouTube highlights while you quietly cry yourself to sleep. Or does nobody else do that?
