Gordon Hayward Looks Pretty Good To Me!!

Sorry today’s been a little crazy at work but I couldn’t let the day go by without weighing in on this video we saw early this morning. The big news is that Hayward is jogging with all of his body weight. no more fancy Alter G machine or whatever the hell that thing is called to help prevent too much pressure on that ankle. Then when it came time for Brad to talk about it he said things like this

While then also immediately trying to remind us all that Hayward is in fact not going to play this year. Listen Brad I love you, but my eyes know what they see. You can’t stop the internet with providing just enough evidence to have our minds run wild. Also, here’s the other thing. How do we know this is a new video? Who’s to say this didn’t happen a few weeks ago? Maybe that jog is already a light sprint, you don’t know. If this was truly the case, why haven’t they officially shut him down? There’s a difference between Brad saying it after a practice and the team officially announcing it. They have the same hope we all do, that this Celts team makes a decent run and potentially an appearance in the ECF. By then who knows, maybe Hayward can play by then. That’s what, another month or so away? Plenty of time to get him to the point where you put him in the corner and help create space.

I’ve long said that I want no part of Hayward rushing back. His long term health is what is most important, but if the guy is good to go you gotta let him come back. I can see it now, get out the the first round and then Kyrie comes back. Midway through that series they get Smart back. Then a date with CLE in the ECF is spiced up with the return of Hayward, who got hurt against CLE. It’s called coming first circle people try to keep up.

Either way it’s awesome to see him even get this far, and with the news that Rozier’s ankle isn’t anything to worry about, perhaps the injury Gods have decided they’ve been a little too aggressive with this team and things are finally on the mend.

P.S.

OK what the hell is going on with Hayward’s left elbow? Why does it look like there is a golf ball in there? Is this some weird stem cell experiment to help his ankle heal faster? Why is nobody asking about this?
