Albany Lacrosse Got Bored With Scoring All The Time So They Decided To Test Out Their Steph Curry Range

In case you’ve somehow managed to miss it, the Great Dane of Albany have been making a mockery out of college lacrosse so far this season. They’re 9-0 and the only undefeated team left in the nation. I’m not a stat nerd but they’re leading the country right now by scoring 15.7 goals per game. They’re also 2nd in the nation defensively only giving up an average of 7 goals per game soooooo yeah, the Dane Train has been rolling.

And they’ve been scoring goals pretty much every way possible. From just your standard snipes, to the backhand, to behind-the-back. But last night in the middle of beating the brakes off of Harvard, they realized they’ve run out of new ways to score this season so next up on the list was to get a quick range check and have Matt Perla go bombs away from 50 yards out. Now I don’t necessarily hate the idea of Harvard going with a 10-man ride against Albany. Teams have to figure out a way to slow them down somehow and I guess a 10-man isn’t the worst idea in the world. The only thing they forgot to remember is the fact that Albany balls out in all areas of the field. So the moment they see some open net, they hit some open net. Doesn’t matter if it’s from 5 yards or 50 yards, all they know how to do is fill the back of the cage up with balls.

By the way–I know I’m not an expert here but if you’re a lacrosse goalie, chances are you probably don’t want to find yourself in this position at any point throughout a game.
