JT is a beast. We can say whatever we want about him (we have) but the dude’s game speaks for itself. He responds with his golf clubs and responds STRONGLY. He wins the Honda. He eagles the 72nd hole in Mexico to nearly win the WGC. Now he’s out in Austin at the match play roasting Luke List, getting up-and-down from another planet.

Ball above his feet. Wall in his face. Can’t ground his club. Can’t predict how it’ll come out from the tangly cabbage.

And he spins it to a few feet.

It’s great watching guys like JT absolutely destroy the golf ball and make a million birdies. It’s even greater watching them keep rounds going with recovery skills like this.

Hate him or love him, JT keeps proving he’s probably the best player on the planet (at least over the past 16 months). Nothing but respect for that.

PS — He is beating a putter-less Luke List, but still. Winning’s winning.
