Welcome Paul Richardson To The Redskins

You know what, I like this deal. And for this reason:

I was talking to Rone about this- 5 years, $40 million isn’t that much. Especially when only 20 mil is guaranteed money. Top WR’s make double that, minimum. And they just got Paul Richardson, an up and coming WR, for half of what Sammy Watkins would have cost. People get so hung up on the dollar figure, but forget that the salary cap goes up every year in the NFL, so $8 million per year this year is less than what $8 million was last year, etc. This is a pretty standard contract for a guy who had 700 yards and 6 TDs last season. He also has a ton of speed, which will pair nicely with Doctson on the other side, and a (hopefully healthy but who are we kidding) Jordan Reed in the middle.

And as I type this, DRC is in Redskins Park too…

Not really the replacement for Fuller and Breeland we wanted, but I guess he’ll have to do.
