Drexel Just Set a Division I Record With a 34-Point Comeback

Yeah, I know Drexel basketball doesn’t exactly move the needle, but it’s a record that stood for 68 years, so it’s worthy of being talked about. Drexel was down 53-19 with 2:36 left in the first half. Then they turned into the best team in Division I, possibly.

Drexel outscored Delaware 56-27 in the second half to complete the historic comeback. The Dragons were led by Tramaine Isabell who slapped up a 29/12/9 stat line, falling just one assist short of the triple double. He ultimately hit the game-winning free throws too. After Delaware tied it up with 10 seconds to go, Isabell drew a foul while shooting a three with about 2 seconds left. The first free throw hit just about every part of the rim and even the backboard before falling in.

Again, I don’t care who you are, a 34 point comeback is insane.
