Suits Announces It's Return to USA Network and The Final Goodbye Episode for Meghan Markle (Rachel Zane) and Her On-Screen Fiancé Mike Ross

Returning for Season 8 are fellow original cast members Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter), Sarah Rafferty (Donna Paulsen) and Rick Hoffman (Louis Litt), joined by Dulé Hill (Alex Williams), who has been promoted to a series regular after recurring this season.

The remainder of Season 7 will premiere March 28, culminating in a two-hour season finale on Wednesday, April 25 – an arc in which Suits will bid farewell to characters Mike Ross (Adams) and Rachel Zane (Markle). The arc, which also includes the planted Suits spinoff pilot starring Gina Torres in the season finale, is expected to feature the long-awaited Mike and Rachel wedding just a couple of weeks before Markle’s real-life nuptials to Prince Harry.

I’m pretty sad. As a fan of Suits since it first came on USA Network I’ve fallen in love with this show. It’s easily my favorite show (not named Game of Thrones) on television right now and the duo of Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross) and Meghan Markle (Rachel Zane) are a big part of it. The other third of that equation is of course the incredible Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter) who is the star of the show and my idol. Once news came out that Meghan was marrying Prince Harry (still a wild idea to process) it became obvious she’d leave the show after Season 7. There were rumblings that Mike Ross would be leaving as well, which makes sense because the final episode will likely be their wedding and a proper sendoff. Now we know when Season 7 will return for its second half (March 28th) and when the final time we’ll see Meghan Markle on the big screen along with Adams (April 25th). Fuck that’s gonna be really, really sad. Goddamit Prince Harry you ruin everything.

I cannot imagine the ratings USA is gonna get for those five or so episodes, culminating with the season finale on April 25th. If you don’t watch Suits then I don’t know what you’re doing. It’s an awesome combination of corporate lawyers, witty convos, comedy, and gorgeous women. It’s pretty rare the pilot episode of a series will hook you in for good, but Suits does just that. If you haven’t watched the show, go watch the first episode and I guarantee you won’t stop. The premise is that Mike Ross has a ridiculous photographic memory, but he’s barred from going to Law School because he got caught taking the LSAT’s for money since he’d ace all of them for other students. He’s now just a middle man for a drug dealer to make some cash. He becomes Harvey Specter’s right hand man (a big time NYC lawyer) by accident and they go on to dominate case after case.
