Should Steeler Fans Be Rooting For the Pats?
So I know most Steeler fans hate the Patriots. Listen I don’t blame them. After all Pittsburgh is our bitch. We’ve broken their backs and made them humble so many times I’ve lost count. We’ve used their terrible towel as toilet paper. But despite all this I think they should be rooting hard for the Pats this Sunday. Why? Because of James Harrison.
I mean the way the city of Pittsburgh treated this icon was dispicable. Running him out of town, trashing him in the locker room, burning his jersey etc. All because he just wanted to help the Steelers win and they wouldn’t let him. But the Patriots salvaged his career and his image. We vindicated him. We gave him what Pittsburg could offer. A chance to win. And Harrison seized the opportunity. He proved he still has it. That he’s still a game changer. Now he has a chance to get another ring. Something he had no shot at in Pittsburgh.
So if your a Steeler fan don’t you have to root for him now? He’s everything Steeler fans claim to care about. Hard work, dedication and commitment. Proving people wrong. Pittsburgh forced a legend to leave town with his tail between his legs. Now Harrison will be able to retire with the dignity and respect the Steelers tried to steal from him. How can you not root for that?
