So yesterday the Pats and the Eagles advanced to the Superbowl. All Pats fans immediately started preparing for Minnesota. All Eagles fans immediately proceeded to burn down Philadelphia. Meanwhile our fearless Philly leader Smitty decided to call it a night and hit the hay at 11:37pm. Just an absolutely preposterous move on the most viral night in the history of his city. A night when a new viral video or news story was happening every 5 minutes Smitty decided to announce to the world he was going to sleep early. I don’t know what is dumber. Actually going to bed when your city is on fire or tweeting about it? And this is why Smitty will never get the benefit of the doubt. This is why Smitty will always be publicly roasted. It’s one thing to talk about work ethic and pride and it’s another thing to do it. How could I ever send him to Minnesota after that performance? All I can say is thank God Coley stayed up covering the riots all night. Job well done. And people wonder why Barstool Philly never took off like Boston, Chicago and NYC did?
