Was Georgia-Oklahoma A Better Rose Bowl Than Texas-USC?

What a game. First ever meeting for Georgia and Oklahoma and immediately need them to play again, potentially every year. First EVER Rose Bowl overtime and the 17-point comeback Georgia had on Oklahoma is the largest ever in Rose Bowl history. Sony Michel and Nick Chubb rushed a combined 25 times for roughly 3,425 yards and five touchdowns. Michel even had a light 41 receiving yards with another touchdown through the air. Hell, Michel even set up a score for the Sooners with his fumble. The guy was putting up points for everybody.

Immediately people are rushing to say this game was better than the Vince Young-Reggie Bush Rose Bowl of 2006. What’s crazy is those people aren’t even being that hyperbolic, this game was that good. Crazy up tempo offense, drama down to the last second, both sides taking and losing leads throughout all stages of the game. But nostalgia in my brain will always have me thinking USC-Texas was the greatest game of football ever played. It also has the obvious edge that it was for the Championship and not just for a chance to play for the Championship. But a blocked field goal and a walkoff wildcat touchdown in double overtime after being down 17 in the first half has a damn good case to take that top spot.
