Source - A local Catholic elementary school is in some hot water with higher ups at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles after the school hosted a Lil Pump music video without informing the Diocese. The video was for Lil Pump’s song “Gucci Gang”, and it already has more than 240 million views on YouTube.

It was filmed at Blessed Sacrament School in Hollywood without the permission of the Diocese. In the video, Lil Pump is seen smoking a blunt, carrying bags of weed, and giving out slizzurp to classmates.

The Archdiocese told FOX 11 they were never told about the video, or what would be in it.

In this instance, the location did not follow Archdiocesan filming policy and procedure,” a spokeswoman wrote FOX 11. “The Archdiocese of Los Angeles did not approve the content of this video nor its filming at Blessed Sacrament School, which is a school of the Archdiocese and property of the Archdiocese. The Archdiocese has strict filming policies and procedures for all of its parishes and schools.”

I’m going to be honest, I didn’t know who Lil Pump was until I read this article. And as much as I want to hate him, I can’t. He’s so bad he’s good. Like, Gucci Gang is the worst song of all time. It’s a poor man’s Jumpman without the beat. The music video is trash too: tigers, sizzurp, massive bags of weed. It’s like a nod to the early 2000’s Big Tymers. The church didn’t enjoy it either. Although I’m not sure anyone asked their opinion, they just injected themselves into the situation per usual. If they took two seconds to watch the music video they’d realize how on brand it is. Catholic school kids are the biggest sinners of all. I went to a dance at a Catholic school when I was fifteen and it looked like a scene out of Traffic. They’re not going to care if Lil Pump walks around with a cup of Robitussin and Sprite. They were doing that in third grade. Blessed Sacrament needs to escalate this up the chain. Go straight to the cool Pope, and let him watch the video. If he’s a fan it’s all good, if not they can hand down whatever punishment they want.
