Ricky Aguayo Says Fraternity Members Punched Him In The Face After He Missed 2 Field Goals Against Florida
SEC Country – A disturbing story involving Florida State kicker Ricky Aguayo has a Florida connection.
On Tuesday, the Tallahassee Democrat’s Karl Etters reported that Aguayo told police that members of a fraternity on Florida State’s campus beat the player over missed field goals during a game against Florida in 2016.
Per Tallahassee Police records obtained by Etters, Aguayo reported being “jumped” by members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity in front of the group’s house after the Seminoles’ 31-13 victory against the Gators. Aguayo missed two of three field-goal tries that day.

Ricky Aguayo:
Common mixup.
Roberto is the former FSU kicker who never missed…until he hit the NFL and promptly missed everything.
Ricky is his younger brother who is now the FSU kicker and is, apparently, continuing the family tradition of making everybody who reads about them sad.
Here’s more from the story:
Aguayo told TPD he was walking by the fraternity house at about 3 a.m. on Dec. 2 when people on the front porch began to yell at him about his performance in the game.
“He said they were giving him a hard time about missed field goals during the Florida game,” officers wrote in their report. “He said he was rushed by several of the members of the fraternity … and was punched in the face.”
The report goes on to mention that police saw blood on Aguayo’s face and a ripped shirt. He declined to press charges, and he refused to pursue medical treatment, according to the report.
Aguayo, a sophomore, has made 15 of 18 field-goal attempts this season, in addition to connecting on 33 extra points.
First of all fuck these frat bros. Everybody hates college kickers but save your abuse for Twitter and the message boards – actually physically assaulting a kid for missing some field goals during a game in your 5-6 season is beyond ridiculous. Not encouraging any more violence but hypothetically I wouldn’t be upset if the offensive line pays a visit to Pi Kappa Phi at some point soon.
Second of all – the Aguayos really need to get out of kicking. Nothing good is coming from it. Get a cushy ergonomic desk chair in a cubicle somewhere and start crunching spreadsheets for 8 hours a day – it might sound miserable, but nobody sends you death threats or punches you in the mouth.
PS,
If you’re going to have two kids that look exactly alike and both kick footballs for the same college within 2 years of each other do everyone a favor and at least make their names start with different letters.
