Justin Verlander Winning The World Series Then Flying Straight To Italy To Marry Kate Upton Caps Off A Pretty Sweet Stretch Of Life

(WXYZ) - It appears that former Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander will have two rings after this week.

Sources confirm to 7 Action News that Verlander and his fiancée, Kate Upton, will get married this week in Italy.

The wedding will come just days after Verlander won his first World Series with the Houston Astros. That means Verlander will miss the Astros’ world series parade in Houston.

What a stretch for Justin Verlander.  Seems like just yesterday he was on a losing Tigers team going nowhere as embarrassing pictures of him shirtless in Wrangler jeans circulated the internet like wildfire.

Then a last second, and I mean last second trade to the Astros, a great postseason performance, a World Series ring, and straight off to Italy to marry your incredibly hot supermodel fiancee.  What a stretch of life.

Missing the parade though…that’s an interesting choice. And by interesting I mean pretty bad.  I mean that’s a possibly once in a lifetime experience.  Kate’s got that ring, she’s not going anywhere.  It can’t wait a couple days?  Only explanation is she gave him an ultimatum which is entirely possible because “chicks man” (we don’t say that anymore but just pretend it’s 2013), and I don’t care what you got going on, you don’t turn down an ultimatum from Kate Upton.
