Chance the Rapper Drops A New Song On "Colbert" That He Wrote 48 Hours Ago and Doesn't Even Have A Title Yet

THE FADERFans were excited to hear that Chance The Rapper would be performing new music on Monday night’s episode of The Late Show, but they didn’t know just how new the music was. During the performance, Late Show host Stephen Colbert tweeted that the song, which features Daniel Caesar, was written just two days before. According to a tweet from The Late Show account, the song is so new, it doesn’t even have a title.

“I was supposed to do “Grown Ass Kid” tonight and I called you up and said I couldn’t do that anymore for reasons I don’t want to go into [on TV],” he explained. “We had to come up with a song in a matter of days and I wanted to do something fresh. Not to lie, I’ve been in the studio a lot lately, cooking up some yammers. They’re honestly great. I premiered “Angels,” the first song off Coloring Book, here [Late Show] so why not do a new song for you tonight.”

Been in the studio a lot cooking up some yammers???

This song is vintage Chance.  The rap-sing combo with a slow build and powerful message.  Sticking to what got him here.  And what got him at the top of the ballot for Mayor of Chicago.

PS,

Can somebody send the guy his damn Grammys?
