The KHL Season Is Just A Few Days Old And We Already Have Guys Getting Their Jaw Shattered By Slapshots
The 2017-18 KHL season got underway on Monday since technically it’s already October in Russia. So 48 hours into the new season, guys are already throwing their body on the line as if it’s game 7 of the Gagarin Cup Final. NBA players don’t even start trying until the conference finals. Meanwhile we’ve got guys in Russia trying to stop slapshots with their face in game 1 of the regular season.
What a fucking psychopath. Lose puck in the high slot. Buddy in black gets to take a few steps into this one before unloading. And here we have Mikelis Redlihs from Dinamo Riga dropping to his knees like a goddamned lunatic. But you know what? A broken jaw is a helluva long way from the heart.
Totally worth it. Aside from the fact that Dinamo ended up losing the game 3-1 and this broken jaw was all for nothing. That part might give him a few regrets later on when the pain meds wear off. But at least he demonstrated how Hockey Tough he is week 1 into the regular season.
