I Love When Trump Kicks Off Monday Mornings Belittling Everyone On Twitter

Good morning! New week, new you, new tweets from our commander in chief. Today Donnie woke up and decided to belittle everyone on twitter. Fun times. Let’s start with Senator Blumenthal of Connecticut.

A good, solid belittling here. Has several impactful keywords and phrases: phony, cried like a baby, begged for forgiveness like a child, and of course, never in U.S. history has anyone lied or defrauded voters like. Never before in U.S. HISTORY!

If you don’t know, Blumenthal infamously said in 2008 he served in Vietnam. He didn’t. I’ll let this 2010 (failing) New York Times piece explain it:

“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam,” Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008. “And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it — Afghanistan or Iraq — we owe our military men and women unconditional support.”

There was one problem: Mr. Blumenthal, a Democrat now running for the United States Senate, never served in Vietnam. He obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war, according to records.

Trump also went after the usual suspects aka the media. And touted how strong his base is because they show up to rallies.

And decided to randomly thread one of his tweets despite never doing that with any others.

He’s definitely right to some extent; his base fucking LOVES his POTUS style and his relentless attacks on the media. I’m not sure presidential rallies where you just go around to different cities celebrating yourself are the most scientific barometer for measuring this, but what do I know? Trump is batting a thousand as a politician for fucks sake.

Finally, he really, really wants everyone to know he’s working hard in New Jersey. Not a vacation — meetings and calls!
