Something Simple: Scottish Man So Drunk He Tries To Withdraw Cash From A Fence

Mirror- A man mistook a fence for a cash machine in hilarious footage that appears to show him trying to withdraw money from a railing.

Doug Wood was walking along the bridge when he witnessed the man trying to insert his card into a gap in the wood enclosure.

In footage, shot by Doug, the man seems surprised when he is told that Ness Bridge, in Inverness, is not a cash point.

The nine second clip has been shared over 3,300 times with many Twitter users commenting on the bizarre incident.

Tristin Vuk Ninja said: “Aye only in Inverness got to live it haha.”

It’s believed that the man had been drinking.

Nothing fancy here. Just an outrageously drunk Scotsman trying to withdraw money from a bridge railing. ATMs can be confusing as hell, like vaginas: no two are alike. Sometimes you have to insert slowly and leave it in; other times you have to insert and withdraw real quick, like you were never there. And if you’re 38 pints deep, the sequence of remembering your pin number > not wanting to see your balance > yes, I’m fine paying $2.00 for this transaction > no receipt… can be quite a gauntlet. If you mess up on ONE of those screens, you have to start all over.

Having said that, mistaking a fence for an ATM, in broad daylight no less, means it’s probably time to hit the casino. Drinks are free and in this state, you’re guaranteed to win money. It’s science. If you can’t see the cards, the house is at a disadvantage.
