NYDN – This “Mighty Ducks” star is getting time in the real penalty box.

Shaun Weiss, the actor who played the goalie Goldberg in “Mighty Ducks,” will spend 150 days in Los Angeles County Jail after stealing $151 in merchandise from an electronics store, TMZ reports. The 38-year-old actor received the time because the crime was his second theft arrest, according to the gossip site. It is unclear what was stolen from the Fry’s Electronics store.

His manager, Don Gibble, told TMZ that Weiss might write something — like a script or jokes during his sentence.

Huuuuuuuge news over the weekend. Literally couldn’t go anywhere yesterday without hearing people talk about Goldberg going to jail. Told a restaurant host in Milwaukee about it, thought he would cry.

But unfortunately, it’s all very true. If you had told me back in 1992 that one day this kid would get arrested and sent to jail for 3 5 months for petty theft…

well… well I probably would have believed you. Saw it coming 25 years away. Still doesn’t make it any less shocking. But with that being said, maybe this is actually a good thing. Maybe this is even the best thing that could have ever happened to Goldberg. Because he’ll be spending his 150 days in jail doing nothing but writing. And I think I already came up with the script for him to work off of earlier last year with my D4: The Mighty Ducks.

I just want it to be known that I’m here for Goldberg. If you’re reading this, Shaun Weiss, just know I’m willing to work out some sort of partnership here. You clearly need some sort of income if you’re stealing $150 worth of merchandise from an electronics store, I clearly need another Mighty Ducks movie in my life. This could be a win-win for the both of us. A win-win for the entire world, really. The rest of the Ducks may have turned their backs on their goalie. But I’m still here for you. When the roosters are crowing and the cows are spinning circles in the pasture, Ducks Fly Together.
