Annnnnddddd The Eagles Have Cut WR Dorial Green-Beckam After A 1-Year Run

ESPN – The Philadelphia Eagles released wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham on Friday, ending a one-year trial run that didn’t pan out as hoped. The Eagles acquired Green-Beckham from the Tennessee Titans last August for lineman Dennis Kelly. A former second-round pick out of Missouri, Green-Beckham’s physical gifts are evident, but like his stint with the Titans, the consistent production just wasn’t there. The 6-foot-5, 237-pound Green-Beckham finished last season with 36 catches for 392 yards with two touchdowns. He was part of an Eagles receiving corps that was 31st in yards and last in drop rate in 2016, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

There’s nothing more than I’d love to give this lazy piece of waste the ol’ Ari Gold “Get the FUCK out!” treatment, but I don’t even think he deserves that honor. Last season, the newly acquired DGB was known for not fully running routes, preferring partying above practice (seriously), and wearing “Yeezy Cleats” on gameday to support Kanye West’s “Yeezy Foundation”…AKA a charity that doesn’t fucking exist (seriously 2.0). And it’s not even that DGB stinks (even though he does), he’s just the definition of a disappointment. This thing 6’5 thoroughbred with Megatron-type physique and is only 24-years-old…how much does he really not have to care to be casted off like this? I know, the Eagles WR core is filled to the brim right now with Alshon, Torrey Smith, the Nigerian Nitrus and 3 TE’s that were essentially the best part of the passing game in 2016, but still. Hate to see this physically talented kid actually turn out to be as worthless as talking pile of pig shit.

Not to mention we gave away the testosterone filled Dennis Kelly for DGB. Don’t necessarily hate it. It was a very low risk potentially very high reward move. Just miss looking at Dennis Kelly.
