Congressman Refuses To Stop Vaping In Session

Source –  The vaping congressman is back at it again. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.),  protested a proposal to ban e-cigarettes on airplanes by vaping in the middle of a markup on Tuesday.

This time, Hunter pulled out two different devices to illustrate what he argued were flaws in an amendment that Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) offered to an aviation bill. Norton’s proposal would prohibit e-cigarettes on planes by changing the definition of smoking to include “a device that delivers nicotine to a user of the device in the form of a vapor that is inhaled to simulate the experience of smoking.”

“Let me show you the problem I have with Ms. Norton’s amendment,” he said. Duncan whipped out a small electronic cigarette that contained nicotine and took a puff from it. Then he pulled out a larger red vaporizer that contained no nicotine. “That doesn’t make sense to me. Either say that an e-cigarette is illegal, whether it has nicotine or not in it.”

Duncan pointed out that flight attendants can already stop passengers from vaping. “And they do,” Duncan assured fellow lawmakers. “Every time we fly, every week, that’s what they tell us.” The panel ultimately decided, in a 30-29 vote, to include Norton’s amendment in the aviation bill.

Don’t tread on me, Eleanor. First it’s vaping, then its regular cigarettes, next thing you know we’re in a full blown prohibition. Give em an inch and they take a mile. That’s the thing about squares, if they can’t sit at the cool table they’ll bring down the whole establishment. What Eleanor fails to understand is its not about the smoke, it’s about the lifestyle. Vaping is like surfing, everyone wants to do it but not everyone can pull it off. She’s still stuck riding the Virginia Slim 120 wave so she’s lashing out. Makes sense, I just wish she would embrace the chill culture she so obviously wants to be a part of.

Luckily “vapers” are very vocal about their rights. Some may argue too vocal (we get it, it’s not real smoke.) Eleanor was just about to win over the room until resident bad boy and congressional heart throb, Duncan Hunter stepped in. *Inhales. “Oh you hate vaping?” *Exhales to multiple congresswomen simultaneously soaking their panties. What a stud. I’m not going to say smoking looks cool but smoking looks cool…as long as you’re young. That’s why I suggest starting young and quitting after a few years. That way if you actually want to be old you can.

I’m on team Duncan and it’s not just because I like him. It’s because Eleanor’s proposal doesn’t make sense:

“Norton’s proposal would prohibit e-cigarettes on planes by changing the definition of smoking to include “a device that delivers nicotine to a user of the device in the form of a vapor that is inhaled to simulate the experience of smoking.”

The TSA has enough to worry about, no need to slow the line down testing for nicotine in vape pens.
