Bill Simmons Grudge Game Is So Petty That's He's Borderline Starting To Make Me Respect Him

So Bill Simmons was on the Dan Patrick show yesterday and Dan asked him what he thought about the Celtics vs. Lakers 30 for 30 documentary. (For the record it was awesome) Pretty basic question since Simmons claims to be the the #1 Celtics fan on the planet. Well Simmons hit him with the “I didn’t watch it” line. He also made it sound like ESPN was dumb for doing this because there had already been documentaries made on arguably the greatest rivalry in the history of sports. Just pure sour grapes from Billy Boy. Just carrying his grudge against ESPN to the mattresses. It’s so petty. It’s so childish. It’s so transparent that I almost respect it. Listen ESPN made Simmons a star. They made him millions. And ESPN proved Simmons needed them much more than vice versa. But Simmons still hates ESPN’s guts with the heat of a thousand suns. And for that I sorta gotta respect Billy boy. Because nobody respects a good old fashioned grudge more than me. Is that me offering the olive branch to Simmons? Maybe maybe not. But facts are a good grudge is hard to come by these days and Simmons is being a total baby here. I kinda dig it.
