The Deputy Attorney General Released A Weird Ass Statement Last Night; Trump Obviously Responded

What a weird ass statement. Only reasonable explanation here is the Michael Scott, right? Get out in front of it. Control the story before it controls you. “Hey you guys know all those ‘anonymous sources’ that are about to come out accusing me of x, y, and z? Yeah don’t trust those.”

Refresher: Deputy AG Rosenstein authored the letter recommending the firing of Jim Comey.

Just to be sure everyone is following along, the Department of Justice oversees the FBI. It oversees the Russian meddling investigation. Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from that investigation, so Deputy AG Rosenstein is the effective head honcho.

Some think Rosenstein will either recuse himself or be fired. At the same time, others think Rosenstein is basically Trump’s puppet.

Pretty weird 12 hours after a relatively quiet week in this political climate. Oh, and in the middle of it all, Trump declared that he is indeed being investigated for obstruction of justice (firing the FBI director who was investigating Russian meddling). And yesterday Pence hired his own lawyer to represent him against the investigation.
