Gisele Says Brady Had a Concussion Last Year
CBS Boston – Gisele Bündchen, the wife of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, said in an interview that Brady “had a concussion last year.”
In an interview on CBS This Morning Wednesday, Charlie Rose asked Bündchen about comments Brady made on SiriusXM NFL Radio back in February that suggested she would have him retire if she had things her way.
“Are you trying to get him to retire?” Rose asked.
“You know, I just have to say as a wife, I’m a little bit, its, as you know, it’s not the most like, let’s say, un-aggressive sport, right?” Bündchen told Rose. “Football, like he had a concussion last year, I mean he has concussions pretty much every–you know, we don’t talk about it but he does have concussions. I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for your body to go through like, through that kind of aggression like, all the time–that cannot be healthy for you, right? I mean I’m planning on having him be healthy and do a lot of fun things when we’re like 100, I hope.”
Way to go, Gisele. Way to go on morning TV to do a puff piece interview about Global Warming and then casually drop a MOAB into the quietest time of the NFL calendar.
Great. That’s just great. Not only is she saying the most important brain in the world next to Belichick’s is suffering the kind of trauma that ends carers and literally lives, but outing the Patriots for not reporting it. Roger Goodell just spit his soy carmel machiato latte all over his butler’s shirt he’s so fucking happy at hearing this. It gives him the double orgasm of being able to combine his two favorite things: Going after the Patriots and playing the phony tough guy on the concussion issue. Not to mention doing his third favorite thing: Launching multi-million witch hunts. Oh, happy days.
If I’m Brady, I’m losing my shit like Henry Hill when his wife flushed all their blow down the toilet. “Why did you DO that KARRRENNN!!! That was all our MONEEEY!!!” Fortunately, I’m not Brady. Brady is Brady. And he’ll handle it in Brady-like fashion. He’ll understand that chicks get overly worried. And Gisele is no different than any wife nagging her husband about staying out too late or drinking too much. And quietly and gently remind her that the place to vocalize her concerns is in the bedroom, not a national talk show. Lesson learned.
But still, let Goodell’s fair and independent investigation begin, followed by fines, suspensions and lost draft picks. ConcussionGate is on.
