Cubs Lose To Cards 5-3 And That Blows But At Least Ian Happ Yabo'd In His Debut

Title says it all. Happ rips a missile which surprised absolutely no one. For obvious reasons, we love that. What we don’t love is Lester making too many mistakes before settling in to Fuck You Mode. We also don’t love Pedro Strop laying 93 mph fastballs down broadway. And then finally, we don’t love that the lineup was completely lost for most of the day outside of Happ’s blast and then Lester’s almost Yabo:

Bright side, it’s kinda cool that Lester semi-owns Carlos Martinez, notably because Martinez throws 98 with a plus slider but I digress.

Just a real blah game. Not sure how else to describe it. It came and went. Like going to church as a kid. On to the next.

PS – for the sake of Chicago sports talk radio, and the amount of time I listen to it, I sincerely hope the Cubs win the rubber match tomorrow. I can’t stomach another week of panic mode.
